hey everyone. ok, im having a huge problem with my 71 v8 302 maverick. when i turn the car on and start driving their is fuel oder inside car. when you get out of car and come back in you can really smell it really bad. i took it to a shop and they told me that carb needed rebuilt. so they rebuilt it but smell still persists. i followed the two fuel lines and i dont see or feel any leaks or cracks. do you guys have an isea of what might be the problem? and gas tank seems fine. no cracks.

You should only have one fuel line.... The other should be a vent line. How's your exhaust exist?

IS the fuel vapor line open at the firewall to the rear of the right hood hinge? You should have a steel tube there thats supposed to go to the charcoal cannister. You either have to get a cannister or modify the vent. You can do a search for the vent being moved to near the fuel tank.
