    So what can I expect?

    A tuned 302V8 City? Hwy?

A tuned 250-6 cyl City? Hwy?

What has been your experience with how much the A/C cuts down on the gas mileage?

I'm getting about 30-35 hwy and around 23-25 around town with my 250 6, but I have a bad lead foot. :D

I know going down the interstate it seems like that gauge just never moves... I went over 70 miles down the interstate running 60-65 mph on a quarter tank of gas and still had some to spare.

Dunno about the AC, I have had to replace virtually every part but the coils, still need a compressor. It runs, but the shaft is damaged so the clutch shakes.

stock 302 with bolt ons, best I got was 12-16 city, 19 hwy. With AOD I bumped on 24mpg.

What trans and what rear gears? My warmed up 302 w/T5 and 3.89:1 gears got about 16 mpg city, 22 highway.

Mines a stock C4 with a stock 2.79 rear. I don't exactly have it tuned
    with the environment in mind!

Mines same as above, stock C4 with 2.79 rear. It keeps up with the traffic around town and on the interstate more then good enough, but it sure ain't gonna win no drag race. ;)
