Nobody makes reproduction maverick specific tanks...Some people use mustang tanks, but that requires some modification. A member on here has a good free used tank, but is not shipping it. Not sure how badly you need one...sounds like a good road trip!!:drive:

Check the classifieds, Shinysideup has a thread about the tank.

Jon, do you still have your old tank? If so, a gas tank repair shop (most good radiator shops can do it) in your area can boil out, weld up leaks, and reline the tank. It is not cheap - but it may be your best bet.

I just did a 70 tank and it came out great. $100 for the radiator shop to boil it out and braze the pin holes shut and then they pressure tested it. I then lined it myself using the Eastwood products. Total investment about $200 in the tank and $75 for an NOS sending unit.

But I now I have a tank that I don't have to worry about leaking.

I also have a nice 70 tank but it needs a new sending unit or use your old one, the connector for the sending unit is broke on mine. Shipping will be expensive though from one side of the country to the other.

Send me a pm if interested

I also had mine done at a radiator shop...I believe I paid 150 for everything. They sautered metal over my rust holes and then coated the inside and out.
