Never done one of these but I'm excited. Have an appointment with JBA racing here in san diego on Monday. Anything I need to know before doing one of these? They said just the dyno pull would be $95 but I actually want to do the dyno tune so that's $350. It's hefty but I think I'll learn a lot.
mo, give these guys a call http://www.dynomitetuning.com/ let him know that bryant from san diego gear and axle refered you. mike will take good care of you there.
thanks Bryant, gonna give em a call today Specs are: 302 from a some 69 car (don't remember) don't know if it was bored or not but was rebuilt so I'm assuming yes edelbrock air gap manifold 1406 edelbrock carb stock crank/cam/headers oh, and the distributor vacuum isn't working
160 at the wheels. You should get the distributor fixed before you take it, without it advancing your numbers will be lower than they should be
160?? really? eeek ok, just ordered the distributor, will try to put it in before I go, can't be too hard. so if it's 160 at the wheels, what you guys guess the engine puts out?
You usually lose about 15 to 20 percent with an automatic. 160 isnt really that bad the roller motors in the early 90s only had 225.
hey Bryant, spoke to Jame Martyn. What a nice guy. He said he doesn't have any of the metering jets but said we can do that some other time. He wants me to at least put it on the dyno and get some air/fuel mixtures adjusted etc. Only $50 for 4 pulls. I usually get out of work later, he said he'll meet me at the dyno at 10pm tomorrow. Thanks a lot for the referral. I'm gonna shop up there with sum beers.
