Okay...Hi everybody. I havent been on this forum in quite a while, but we have been making progress with the car, and it now runs, and has a driveshaft, and tranny in it...I ordered/received my 12 gallon fuel cell, which is hopefully going to get fitted and installed in the car in the next couple weeks....(if anybody has pics of a fuel cell in their maverick I would love to see it...Just to get some ideas...

Okay but back to my new problem. We have the t-5 in the car now, and this was originally a manual car...we orders a firewall adjustable cable and we seem to be having issues with installation. (i know that everybody says that those break...but I have AAA for when I break down):) The boyfriend is familiar with how they work, but can;t seem to find a way to get it routed without it being like on top of my headers, and coming through the firewall where my fuse box is...

If we are going about this the wrong way entirely please let me know so I can order the right parts...I am trying to avoid buying the $200.00+ conversion kit if I dont have to....

If anybody has any recommendations for me that would be great....if you need more info please let me know, and I will try to get right back on the forum...my car is now so close to running around the block on its own...I wanna overcome this last speedbump....Thanks for any help...Sorry for the long post!

    Diana,

There is a thread already in progress answering some of your questions about the T-5 swap. (below) You can find some valueable info on the swap. The thread heading is: Whats the best cable clutch conversion kit to use.
