I will post pics of it this week end it is on my 72 comet,a/c add on bolts under the dash with vents and ford logo i have never seen 1 if any 1 has please let me know and what it may be worth. thanks jamey.
A lot of Ford cars from the 50's 60's and early 70's had these AC set ups. In the right car (like an early Mustang) they are quite valuable. The complete set up can be sold/bought for a couple hundred dollars or so. I guess that's what you mean by how much is it worth. As far as the value to your car it doesn't make it a rarity. Tons of cars came with AC.
There was a complete NOS set in the box, on eBay recently. Front to back, all parts, new old stock... They wanted a few hundred bux for it BIN, IIRC, but it never sold.
i was goin to take it out and put vintage a/m air on my car when it is completed just the value of the unit. thanks jamey
Cool. I haven't seen one like that before. I'm used to the ones that don't span the whole package tray.
Jamey When i was working in the local Ford dealer when our car wrer new 68 thru 72 . The a/c guys installed units like that in many non a/c cars ( pinto , maverick , pickups ) . That unit is a after market unit design for a mav and made by ARA or some other manufactor . If you have all the parts it should be a good unit for you . Any good a/c shop should be able to get you any parts you need to get it working . jay
yo i had one in my old mav same type,,i believe on the back was ara ? i sold all of it for 125 as the car was not running,,as is,,told me later it worked,,went on a better car,,a comet Ron
