Maverick is still sitting. My other car desparately needed some rims. I have settled on the what I'm going to do... 1)Black on black paint scheme. Flat black. Everything down to the trim and bumpers. Limo tint on the sides and back window. Front too if the man let's me get away with it. 2)2 inch drop coils plus a relocation of the upper control arm. 3 in. total. 3)2 inch drop leafs in the back with 1 in. blocks 4)It has 15" chrome wheels already so just a polish and low profile 225/50/15 5)Cobra SVT type wing. How does that sound for starters?
All sounds pretty good to me. Your stance will be mean! I don't know about that type of wing on a Maverick, as I haven't seen one set up quite that way, but I'm curious as to how it will turn out. Good luck with it!! Preston
Sounds pretty mad maxxish to me. Do you plan on diamond plate door panels? Hehe I like the flat black and tint idea, but an SVT wing on a mav? Yuck. AC
Yeah maybe the... SVT wing is a little much but I wanted a tall wing since the car will be so low. I could have had plenty of bread to fix my Mav but my gf and I dropped 2200.00 and counting on moving into an apartment! California really irks me sometimes. Yeah, I do love the first Mad max movie! I think I will do a limo tint fade 1/3 in the front. Question: Has anybody ever heard of sueded paint? Front what I understand it is just a couple of coats of primer that has been wet-sanded and polished. Is this right? I think sueded black would look very retro-hotrod. Question: Anybody ever hear of running dual alternators? Would it be better to convert to serpentine belt then fabricate a special mount for both? I like alot of gadgets. Question: Can I run a roots type blower that will not stick out of the hood? No cowl. Stock looking. Question: Why can't I run 245's up front if they fit in the back with say a Mustang II suspension? With that set-up I would think I could use less backspacing since the rims wouldn't rub on the smaller springs.
Answer: No, but it sounds like it would be cool. I saw a toyota 4-runner that was completely painted with rhino liner once. Looked wicked, but heavy Answer: Yes, it can be done quite easily from what I hear. Google it. Answer: Probably not, but maybe if you custom made your own setup using an M-90 or something you could squeeze it all in there... Answer: I dont know AC
