My name is Dennis Hanratty. I just picked up my first Maverick Grabber since my high school days. Never should have let that one go, but most of us have been there a time or two. It was a 72 Grabber with a 302 3 speed on the floor... Nice car. My "new" one is a 71 302, auto, air Grabber. The guy I purchased it from bought it a year ago from the original owner who had it in a barn (so the story goes). But it looks like it was under roof. Usual rust in the rear of the fenders, but it's all there and original. Question for you all.. I'd like to restore it back to original, but with a Ford floor shift and 71,72 buckets. Am I in for the parts search of a life time or what. Thanks for any info. By the way I live 10 minutes from the Carlisle Fairgrounds, hope to see you folks at the All Ford Show.
You will have to come check out all the Mavericks and Comets at Carlisle as the Maverick Comet Club International, Inc. (MCCI) will be holding a Regional Mini-Meet there once again this year. See you there.
