i have a c4 and was wondering if i needed the spacer plate the the inspection cover bolts to i have the wrong one on it and i cut it to fit and its rubbing the bolts on the torque converter and making alot of noise can i just chunk it or is it required
You can run the car without the inspection cover but the plate betwen the engine and transmission must be used. The cover shouldn't hit anything - it goes on the outside of the block plate so it is further away from the converter than the larger plate. If the bolts that hold the cover in place are hitting then use shorter bolts. That cover allows access to the converter nuts and keeps road debris out of the bell housing.
well i need one for a small c4 i have one for a c6 or something or a big c4 81 year model motor i swapped in anyone have one???
