    Hello Maverick family.

I'm still doing my rehab on my 71 grabber and still looking for some parts. I had a straight 6 but now putting a 302 V8 with C4 trans. Also disk brakes and Power steering. Car is in peices and want to start putting it back together.

    1) I need a power booster for my disk brakes and the p-valve.

    2) Need cross-members for both the engine and tranny. Looking to put headers on also but having trouble finding.

    3) Looking for A/C components.(all)

    4) Looking for rearend so that I can make it all disk.

Any one have ideas or part, reach out PLEASE!!

    :Welcome:

the power booster on disc brakes is definately not required and if your car did not come with a power booster will most likely require a different style of tower brace. i switched my manuel drums to manuel front disc and it stops real fast.

the best headers to use are hooker 6901. those still require some minor banging and you will need to be on a floor shifter or weld together a special column shifter.

there was several posts on converting the rear using an explorer rear end. try the search button above on all of these subjects.

there are a few guys in the LA area also(y)

    Thanks

Well My grabber didn't come with a Power booster I just figured I'd need one. Will I have to get a different master cylinder. I had drums first. and I have a colume shifter.

i switched to the later model disc master, but read somewhere on here recently that the drum one will work. the main prob ive run into is my plunger is a little on the long side so my brake pedal is a little high. i think there is a post on how to fix that as well, if i ever change my MC i may try it. the column shifter makes it hard for the header fitment, but as i said there is also a post somewhere about welding together a modded rod to get around that. i have a floor shifter so that wasnt an issue for me. unfortunately i have heddmans and their problem is my power steering arm. takes some real hammering on one of the tubes to clear even with their drop bracket.
