Hey ya'll. Im new here. I just bought a new ford maverick yesterday, well not new but new to me. its a 1975. Has the 250 inline 6. The previous owner told me he put the suspension from a 68 mustang on it. It rides like sh.......er poop. 2 1/2 inch exhaust with a glasspack. Dude went bondo happy on it and removed most all of the chrome trim. Today I fixed the passenger door which was not operational at all from the previous owners brother "bending things in the door." I rebuilt the power steering pump(omg did that ever make a difference) I bought a roll of black vinyl today and am starting on a full new interior tonight. Door panels first. Then a bucket seat swap for the front.(Anybody know what buckets bolt up if any?) Next week it goes in for all the metal repair at a local shop here. And because Im an electrical guy by trade, its getting a full work over to include a LED projector headlight conversion, all led lighting, smart alarm with remote start, shaved door kit, complete stereo, amps, subs, speakers, and to top it off a 152db trainhorn system. Im also currently watching foreign martial arts movies but the subtitles arent working. Im lost but I think the good guy is winning. Im going to walk down to ritas and get some ice cream.

Welcome, sounds like you're havin' fun...

BTW '68 Stang suspension is basically same as what was originally installed... Too stiff springs and/or shocks, plus poly strut rod bushings will wreck the compliance of front suspension... I had to change all those items to get mine to ride decent again after rebuilding my front end...

My springs were orig but with aluminum heads, intake, headers etc it lost enough weight to make it stand on its toes, installed 6cyl springs to get it back to a decent ride height...

You are in good company. The Maverick Nationals are in Washington, PA in two weeks....so lots of Mavericks from all over the country will be "in town" for you to take a look at. Check it out.
