ignition questions

    im having to buy a new distribitor for my maverick 302 project..im having to piece it all together..whats the best for my money distribitor for this thing..its a 302 ho....also.. im kind of unsure on which distributors require a separate control box..unlike the chevy HEi ones....could a hei distribitor work for me or should i just go with a dual points .....i need reliability for street use

    I'd go with a Duraspark. The HEI is too big and hits the thermostat housing. The HEI is a poor design with the coil in the cap causing all kinds of trouble.

    What all does the duraspark consist of...are they readily available

    Might have a problem finding a plug from the main harness to the box...but regular spade connectors will work. Junkyards are full of harness plugs if you want to go that route
