Hey everyone!! It's been so long since I've been on here. As some of you may know, I currently no longer own my 2 Mavericks. I do miss owning my cars. However working on them was sometimes a pain ! But all in all it was a fun time. Especially chatting with you fine chaps! So..... Yeah do any of you in the vicinity of NW Pennsylvania have a Maverick they would just hand over to me? Lol! Don't everyone jump at once! Worth a try I guess lol! Right now things are not so good. I'm still trying to locate a decent job with the Technology Degree I have. But no luck thus far. I hate being poor!!! Anyway, hope everyone's doing great! Keep in touch, as I do plan on getting another one as soon as I can afford to. Take care, y'all!!
Andrew, welcome back!Hey,when the weather gets a little better, hop over to New Castle,I'm not far from you,we'll take the Mav out and bang some gears..!Got any snow in Sagerstown? We got 13" in about 15 hrs.PM me if you're coming this way,I"ll show you around my Race Shop,we'll find you something to tinker with..Jack
Hey Jack from New Castle!! Saegertown got dumped on about a week ago. Although I don't think its 13", but dang close! That sounds like a fun time! I've been dying to see a Maverick after not owning one for over 1.5 yrs! Too bad my 74 Maverick never got completely finished. I hate transmissions lol! Anyway, I'll let you know if I'm gonna be out that way. Looking forward to it! In the meantime, you can keep all the snow. I'm getting darn sick of it up here ! Thank goodness for a Jeep 4x4, right? lol!
welcome back! Hopefully a position will open up soon for you. 13 inches of snow? We just finished in at a clean 24". Any higher and dog would need snow shoes!
Andrew: You would not know me, nor do I own a Maverick, but I support this group because I grew up with my Dad driving a new '70 Grabber! Besides, I originally hail from ERIE (yup, know the whole Corry/Edinboro/Wattsburg/Saegertown/Meadville etc. corridor well). Don't envy your snow however!! Living in Texas has its advantages - I'm here, because like you, having a technical degree (electronics engineering), it's TOUGH up in that area. Hope you find employment soon! Best wishes finding another car! Chris
Welcome back from Springdale (Pgh) throwed outta Altoona! Been awhile for sure! Take Action Jack on the visit,,,, thinking it's time for him to expand with another tech,,,,,,, He's a Great guy and ,, haven't seen the finished Mav yet,,, a Great car! Good Luck in the job search
Andrew we have a big Travel Trailer and camp at Woodcock Dam ( Colonel Crawfords),and go right through Sagertown to avoid all the mess in Meadville,we usually take our first outing around april 15,Maybe we can hook up and have an adult beverage or two.! Keep in touch Jack
That sounds like a plan, Jack! Woodcock dam is just under 2 miles from my house. Started snowing up here again. Darn, and just when the weather was seeming nice. Thanks everyone for making me feel welcome again after all this time! I'll try and contribute what knowledge I have!
