Hello! Just here to introduce myself... My name is Timothy Dodd, I'm a pastor in Federal Way, WA. I'm 30 years old. My dad bought our family a 1975 white 4-door Maverick in 1978 when we moved to the US from England. In 1990, my brother bought a 1973 gold 2-door V8 Maverick. In 1991, they swapped cars and my brother took the 4-door to college. I drove the 2-door all through HS. In 1994, the 4-door finally died (cracked engine block) and my dad gave the '73 2-door back to my brother and bought an Integra. In 2002, my brother finished off his project Volvo Wagon (a 1985 Turbo diesel with a Corvette engine) and gave me the Gold 2-door. In 1994, I gave it away to some hot-rodding HS kids and bought a 1969 1/2 straight 6 for $500. So, someone in my family has owned a Maverick since 1978. After spending an hour this morning working on fuses, I have a love-hate relationship with my car. That is about all! Thanks, Tim!
Welcome to the board Tim , glad to have you onboard. I think we all can relate to the love/hate thing at times...but we are here to help or just offer moral support..or maybe just laugh and hope that it dosen't happen to us(but it will..of course). We have a great M.C.C.I Rep in Washington(Mercurycruisers)...just don't sell him your car!
to the board. Glad to have you here. You should think about joining the MCCI. I'm the Washington State Rep, & I live in Pacific (hop, skip & a jump from you). I have quite a collection of Mavs & Comets (3 each). I hope to meet you soon. You can email me anytime. We have quite a few Mavs & Comets in the Seattle area. I also have a couple Mini Meets every year locally....
