I recently purchased a Hurst Promatic 2 shifter with new 5 ft cable and brackets off ebay for a whoppin $31.00 plus shipping. The ?? here is, where to put it on the hump, can it go pretty much to my comfort or is there a measurment needed to find best location. Also no instructions came with shifter far as bracket location etc...Brackets are still in package never opened...Jim(y)

Hey Jim I have never used a Hurst Shifter but had several cable style shifters. You can mount them just about anywhere. Just remember the harder the cable in bent the harder the cable has to work within the casing. Put it where you want and make sure the cable has a good round curve to it going down to the trans.

Hey Jim are you still interested in the slots. If not thats OK I will put them back in storage Let me know

    Thanks
    Mike

Jim, you can get the instructions from Hursts website, I have the same one and don't care for it very much. As soon as I can find a factory floor shifter and linkage I'm there dude.
