Thought I'd check in, it's been a (short) while. The Maverick is running great and the Comet is still... eh.. eating all the cash I throw at it. The guy I had working on it really shafted me, I'm pissed at that car right now. Good news, I got myself a 73 El Camino with a 350/350, she hauls balls-out. Now that I've got the mechanicals mostly worked out in the Maverick I'm turning to the appearance.. she's still primer gray and needed a dash cap, reupholstered seats, and a paint job. After that I'll move on to the suspension, I've just got sag-ass. Not that anyone really cares too much, I don't post too much on my progress, but I just wanted to drop a line. well i guess i can check up 2 since we traded cars and i no longer have a maverick. well i had the el camino and kinda fixed it up had a cool radio in it, new bed liner, new steering wheel and some emmissions stuff. well i sold it and bought a legal car :16suspect cavalier. well now its engine is seized. well the elcamino travled from me to on of my class mates in high school. he put 900 into it the first week he had it and got it tuned up. it was nice started right away but when his mechanic was working on his engine he found out it was never rebuilt and had orginal gaskests and all that so it probally had like 200,000 or over miles on it. but he did get it emissoned(sp) in the city on the 2nd try after fixing the timing. but last time i talked to him he said he thinks he blew up the engine and it was in the shop. well let me know if u ever get rid of any of thoes cars.
