I saw a 1980 lincoln versalles 9 inch with disc brakes sell for $750.00 on ebay once, course that may have been a fluke, nice rear end though...

Thats not a fluke if it came with new disc parts.. Used 9in Versailles rears sell for about 400 - 500 up here and require all new parts..I'm switching to a disc brake rear in the fall or winter.. Maybe sooner if time and money allow..:2cents: TTFN

I sold one on ebay 3 years ago, buyitnow for $475.00 lasted 45 minutes. I think I sold it a little low.

Now putting it in your mav/comet will be work! A very nice ad on!

Those can easily fetch $500. I put one on my car but probably wouldn't do it again. It was an easy swap (bolt right in) and works well with a car that already has front disc brakes (you can use the same proportioning valve). You have to modify the driveshaft but again not a big deal. It seems like too much rear for our little cars (too heavy and overkill for the application) but it's fun to watch peoples faces when you tell them it's there.

    Sam :)
