Has anyone used the transmission dipstick tube from macs auto parts? ive been looking for one, I have a maverick with a c4 case fill and 302, just wondering if the falcon/comet/montego one would work or if anyone has used these? thanks
Ford made hundreds of dipstick tubes. Without a part number or make of model and year it would be hard to take a guess. We tried 3 different tubes plus an aftermarket tube and none fit like it should. Even with the pan off the transmission we could see the dipstick hanged at different levels from the bottom of the tube. We ended up relocating the mounting tab on the tube that didn't hit everything else on it's way to the engine bay
