Finally made it up here. And barely. I think the ball joints are out of whack. I had to stop in Mass and change the front tires out. What a pain. Other than that it's beauiful up here. If anyone wants to take a vacation they should take a roadtrip up here.

Be afraid, very afraid. There are some large critters up there with big claws and beady little eyes. If you see one grab it by the tail and boil it fast. The good thing about it is that you can have a very nice meal from it. Yummy!

I vacationed in Maine about 12 years ago. It was August and about 80 degrees during the week I was there. According to the locals they were having a heat wave and didn't know what they'd do if it got any hotter! I was thinking it was quite nice personally and all the natives I ran into were very nice people. It's on the top of my list to back to and I think you'll enjoy it there. Best of luck!

    Sam :)

Welcome to Maine! Glad you had a safe trip.

When I drove my Maverick to Maine from Florida, one of the wheel cylinders blew out before I even got out of Florida. I bought a huge bottle of brake fluid and topped it off each time I stopped. I was in great shape until I hit road construction with stop & go traffic in Virginia! That was fun. NOT!

I realize you're busy with the move, but if you're able & close enough, there's a car show in York, ME on Sunday, May 2 from 8 am - 3 pm at Starkey Ford on U.S. Route 1. If not, I'm putting together a Mini-meet in June, maybe we'll see you there.
