maverick hood for comet

    Is a maverick hood the same as a comet hood? :hmmm: I need a hood for my
    comet and the junk yard I believe only has maverick hoods.

    maverick and comets are different hoods.

    I think if you changed the grill to a maverick grill the rest will be OK..someone help me with this to make sure.

    It will bolt on but the grill will stick out past the Maverick hood quite a bit. Wont look right IMO.

    where is this junk yard i would like to check it out. i have a couple of extra maverick hoods, if you want to try and see what it would look like, but they are different.

    It won't fit....

    ...without changing the grill and latch support etc.
    '71-'72 has a different front bumper too.

    It won't run right either after putting it on.
    Comets were built much better than Mavericks
    and the Maverick hood will make it run poorly.
