Hope you guys can help. Had to take the Mav in for emmissions and she had failed. took it to a mechanic and they told me to replace the engine since there was a little bit of water in the oil. Well anyone with comon sense nos that it would be the head gasket, so off comes the head and a new gasket is installed. Took her back in and she failed again. Took her back to the same mechanic and they said this time it was the carb, so I replaced it and all I could get is her to turn over but never fire, so I went and replaced the pick up plate on the distributor and that did not help, so then I went and got a ignition module with the green gromlet she would run just for a few seconds as long as I keept my foot on the gas pedal, then she would die. I would try to restart her and all she would do is turn over but not fire again I went and exchanged this module for a new one and the same thing but this time I noticed this module had blown a fuse inside the fuse box. I replaced the fuse and she still wont start.:banghead: the orginal module had a black gromet. any help would be nice.
