    Hi,

1.)I was wondering if any of you guys know where i can get the long screws that support the enigne(302 V8) because mine doesn't have them. I dont know what there called but the engine tillts to the side like if its going to fall of when you step on the gas:eek:.

2.)I have another question. Does any one know where and how much it cost to rebuild a auto transmission becuase i may need a new one or something becasue the car stays on frist gear. The tran is old and rusted but dont know what kind it is it came with the car when i bought it, all i know is that the car use to have a V6.

    Thanks

Danny, it sounds like you just need to replace your motor mount. You likely only have one broken one but I would recomment replacing them both while you're at it. They wil probably be about $15 each from the parts house. The long bolts that go through them doesn't break so I don't think you need to worry about that. As for the transmisison, it should be a C4. Most tranny shops should be able to rebuild it, labor and all, for probably $500-700 bucks. If they tell you over $700 I'd shop around.

danny; those bolts are the motor mount bolts, and you should NOT drive the car without them! It isn't safe! And, it can damage your engine and trans. All 289 and 302 and 351 engines use these, so find a junkyard, and get a couple, and get the engine fastened down. Not lecturing, but just want you to be safe and enjoy your car.
