I found a local 'mustang only' yard near my house that has a horde of unloved Mustang II's and PIntos near the front gate. I've already snagged a set of sport mirrors from a 'stang II, but was wondering if the shifterless steering column from either of these cars will work in a 72 Mav? I've got my eye on a set of high-back pinto buckets as well

    AP out

most of them are pretty gutted...I'll look next time I'm out there, but I'm not sure there's any that old, mostly 74+...I'm assuming they're only there for Mustang II interchanges(?)

Sport wheels, sport wheels, sport wheels. Buy 'em for $10-$20, resale for $100.

MustangII and Pintos had rack and pinion steering, so it is very doubtful the column would be even close to fitting, but the collar might interchange. Only way to tell for sure would be side by side comparison.

Check to see if any of them have 8" rears.
Both Stang2s and Pintos were common with decent gear ratios and 'posi' rears.
You can take those out all day long and sell them to guys with 8" rears.
