I have a 1971 maverick. New rebuilt motor i had an issue getting the firing timing correct and had to tow it to a shop after a while the shop fixed the issue and had the motor running. After warming up and a fine idle i go for a drive within a few minutes it begins stumbling and died at the light. I can get it started but it takes throttle or it dies. I towed it to the shop and they said there was a clog?? And they crossed the wires and "blew it out" the car started there fine and idled fine at the shop and i drove home. Next day tried again perfect startup and idle...then a short drive and again same issue....im going insaine please help somebody...

Trash in the fuel tank? Have you had the tank cleaned and relined? Or coil getting hot and breaking down. Do you have the correct ohm coil?
