need help with de damned speedometer

    It is a maverick 73 rebuilding it and powering up
    well my speedometer doesnt works and i cant find where it is conected to, is a maverick 1973 and i need help finding that cable, it is a wheel based speedometer or a transmision one? please help, let me tell you my transmision is 4 speed manual if that helps thx for all

    Fresh out of Mavericks
    Cable runs from the back of the speedo face to the rear driver side of transmission, drives off a gear there.

    Difficult to remove from back of speedo, especially if not removed in a while.

    yeah they are a little tricky to remove from under the dash.. its easier to loosen the instrument panel and pull it forward a little and then get your hand back there to remove it.

    the cable attaches to the transmission with 1 little screw, do not break it.

    if it is a 4 speed manual it's on the passenger side of the trans tailshaft.
