The mav flat out has been having problems starting recently. discovered a frayed lead on the oil pressure switch, replaced the whole unit and was back in business...for a day or so...I'm not getting a spark and need to know where to look / check next. I'm definitely not getting a spark (I've checked) but the batt is strong and starter turns and as I said earlier, all the sensors/switches tied in to the ignition are checking in as far as I know...

    coil?

just wondering if there is a simple way to narrow down the problem

    any input is always appreciated

    PS it's a 250 I6

Points, condenser, coil. I would look at the points first. Cheap to change them and can make a big differance.

hey check for voltage at the + terminal on the coil and if no voltage fix that first. If no voltage on the + terminal put power to it from the battery just to check if you get spark, don't leave it like that though because you may run the risk of burning up the coil or points. if you get spark with power from jumper wire to battery + to + coil then you my have a bad coil resistor if you have one in line with the coil if not you will need to find the break in the harness and repair it.
