Hi, im doin a motor swamp next summer and working on finding a 302 to rebuild. I was wondering if the C4 trans will be good enough and if the same rear end will hold up? Any other tips will be apreciated.

I am also interested in Changing from the big bumpers to smaller ones, what is needed to do that and is it expensive? Thanks :)

If they are in good condition you shouldn't have a problem

Do you currently have a C-4 from a 200 or 250??? the 250 uses the same bell housing as a 302.The 200 does not and requires the bigger bell for a 302/250.

C-4's have been built to withstand quite a bit of HP. It all depends on the condition to start with. As for the small bumper swap, type that into the search feature and all the past threads on that subject will come up.:)

As long as you have the 8"(since you mentioned a small bumper swap I'm guessing that's what you have)it will work with stock to moderate v8 power fine.
