I was just thinking about how changing to the small bumper would look then i realized that i have the extra little metal part in the front of the fender, under the head light. When i baught the car the guy gave me a long metal peice that extended under the bumper and also has the hood latch on it but it was to short. This came off of his old maverick, i think about 72 or 73. So now im worried that the (74) comet has a wider frame than maverick? Also, i have a hole inside the cowl that water is leaking through and onto the carpet, do i have to pull of the dash to get to? I also have dents on my roof that look like somone tried pulling out and now its just small lines that are easily seen with the sun on it. Ive only read about some work like this, is this where i have to heat the metal and cool it? or was that all just bs? I think this is all im confused about, sorry if it gets confusing, im bad at explaining things without hands or pictures Thanks everyone for the help & tips.
you need to go to the search function and type in cowl repair, and the other stuff too. That will bring up all the previous threads on any subject. Be advised the cowl repair is hard to do. I haven't done it yet but many others have. Good luck.
