new engine

    I need a new engine for my 72 comet and was wondering what is the biggest engine i can get that will fit easily

    1972 2 door 302 maverick, 1986 5.0 stang gt convertible,66 mustang coupe, HEMI ram
    302--if you are looking for an easy transplant, nothing loves a maverick more than a 302.

    '75 Maverick, '03 super duty, '04 Mustang Vee-six!
    to fit easily, a 302 would be the better choice. The 351w will fit, but it's not as easy.

    besides, a 302 is PLENTY of power for a light Maverick/Comet.
