So I've been stalking this forum for awhile now and have learned a lot of info from all the posts and how to's. This is one of the best sites on the internet for sure. So today I decided to stop hiding and introduce myself and come out and play. I pulled my Maverick out today for the first time since mid November. It suprised the heck outta me, started right up after the second priming of the carb, she's ready to play for the summer.ha. So about my car (Orange Blossom Special), she's a 1970 with a 302 and manual tranny out of a 71 grabber. 48,308 original miles.....before the odometer quit working who knows when. ha. Has an aluminum intake, Holly 600, speedway cam, heavy duty valve springs, dual exhaust with glasspacks, 8in rear with 3.00 gears and a mini spool, rear shoe size is 245/60/14, and runnin on the stock exhaust manifolds. ha. shes my nice little grocery getter and daily driver. So far plans for this summer are Hooker 6901s, front disc brake conversion, and 3.80 gears and maybe if finances allow i'll redo the front suspension since it's shot from the 302 conversion (but hey for now at least it helps for a better launch off the line)

Hey thanks for the replies everyone. Rando76 - Ha, yeah I guess it does kinda put you in mind of the General Lee a bit now that you pointed it out. When I go to school for auto body in the fall and have a chance to paint it, and im debating if I should stick with the orange and black scheme cuz I like it, but I also think she'll look good black, or white, or glossy gray/silver, or a nice darkish blue.ha. so many choices.
