Night Before Christmas: MMB Edition

T'was the night before Christmas,
And all through the messageboard,
They combed through the classifieds,
Looking for parts to hoard.

While most people slept,
And dreamed about gifts,
These addicts still clicked
For their classic Ford fix.

Most of their mail
Comes from Summit and Jeg's,
What's a sugar plum?
They want cylinder heads.

When foreheads hit keyboards,
They finally crash,
At last here comes Santa,
To unload his stash.

His sleigh is a Maverick,
Its tires have such meat,
The sound sets off car alarms
All down the street.

First he's at Scooper's,
No cookies this time,
So he opens a box
Of his best breakfast wine.

He doesn't chug much,
Cause he's got a long night,
So he leaves him some Bondo,
And drives out of sight.

He presses the clutch,
And upshifts to fifth,
Cranks up the Zeppelin
And goes over his list:

Frank needs a paint job,
And Mean a swaybar,
The kid with the Stallion,
Needs most of a car.

Racer_X wants a carb,
Cause he's running too lean,
Mo wants a blower,
Motivation for Gene.

He looks on the Naughty List,
Sees that Ray's on it,
Instead of some coal,
He's getting a Comet.

Bandwidth for T-Bo,
Corona for Dave,
Fog lights for Justin,
To cut through the haze.

PAINTANK gets a radiator,
The visible kind,
And also a trans cooler,
That slipped his mind.

The list keeps on going,
He's got quite a load,
But he folds it up for now,
So he can watch the road.

If you're still awake,
When he comes your way,
Pull out your camera,
Post pics of his sleigh.

It's a true Shelby Maverick,
Even though it sounds funny,
It's as real as its driver,
And the fuzzy Easter Bunny.
