:bananaman Well you guys know I have been trying to get rid of my stuff cus i dont have time to work on it(supposedly). Me and my family went to watch a movie yesterday after my older son's football game and after that we went to get a bite to eat. My son called my attention to a group of cars(mustangs) parked at the gas station getting gas on the way to a local race area off the seawall in galveston. He later said that them guys were lucky that my maverick wasn't running and that i was later getting rid of it cus it would definately kick their butts. That gave me the motivation to do some work on it and repair the roof that was rusted. Here are some pictures of b4 and after tell me what you guys think. Also tell me what you think about rain drips keep them or get rid of them. man i ripped the chrome trim all up from the drip and that pissed me off. Any way tell me what you guys think. I hope to have it running in the next 2 months. them guys better watch out cus i'm coming larging and charging.

all I need to finish the roof is to use body filler to finish it off.

I think what Dennis was asking, is was there a vinyl roof on the car in the past? Rust in that area is common with vinyl top cars. (I'm reading Dennis' mind here) If there was no vinyl top, I suspect there is rust elsewhere since it is so bad in this spot.

Nice repair job. That takes talent and patience. Good luck with the resto.

If you are going to drive your car in the rain....I would keep the drip rails(even if not the chrome), Unless you plan on wearing a wetsuit everytime you drive your car. If this is strictly a drag car...I'd shave them bad boys. For every 100# removed = 1/10 of a second faster...or something like that.(y)
