Show and Shine...Show Us Your Cars

Okay maybe this has been done...I just saw a "sticky" vintage Maverick photos thread, but I couldn't find more current or personal cars. Yeah...I get the gallery...but how about showing the Mavericks that you have owned or currently own in one thread, any interest?

I'm a little sentimental as I created a group for our old car club (30 years ago) on Facebook and I found a treasure trove (to me anyway) of my old Maverick. I thought maybe some of you have some old pics as well as the new ones?

    Any interest?

Since I am a new kid on the block, I won't post mine this second...I'd rather a veteran Forum member post their first.

Second...still haven't learned the system...how do you post Icons vs the large pics?

I used to frequent another forum un-related to Mavericks. They would take submissions including certain photos of the car and the list of mods. It would be put to a vote and then the winner would become the "[Maverick] of the Month". To celebrate this peer-voted honor, that individual would get a picture of their car displayed on the main page of the site (not necessarily the forum page) for a month until the next car was chosen. IIRC, the submissions ran for the first two weeks, then the voting took place for a week or two, then the winner was announced and the pic was changed.

I know this may not be exactly what you were thinking of, but it may be shorter and sweeter. Something similar to the Virtual Car Shows of years previous on this board.

I think you may be onto something, I'm just not sure what it's gonna look like. Buy-in from Stefan probably wouldn't hurt either (outside of JUST a thread).

I like Paul's idea, sounds like fun! (I've seen this on a motorcycle forum as well, it was fun there to!).

I was on another site as well that did some different things, they actually had a virtual car show like once a month on separate page and everyone could vote. They would also have callouts..my car vs your car...winner got a virtual trophy, pretty cool.

My intent here is actually to see what others have done with past Mavericks/Comets and current ones.

I just changed the title to Show and Shine...again mainly to show your car vs a competative car "show". Though...if someone wants to start a "Virtual Car Show" thread, I would support it.

Here it is in all of it's glory. 5.0 roller and C4 in the car with a T5 on the floor next to it. Just a little more cleanup in the garage and it's coming apart!

Was that car in, 2nd pic, in a magazine before? Looks familiar. Heck Glen, I would let a fender cover like that cover my fender any time.:thumbs2:
