Has anyone ever removed the black plastic T handle from the parking brake? It looks like it is held on with a pin, but before I attempt/destroy it I was hoping someone had done it before and could provide some guidance. I have a chrome handle that actually says Parking Brake that I would like to replace it with.

On my Falcon I removed the pin but still had to destroy the handle before it was over. Also had to drill a new hole for the roll pin in the shaft because the Mustang handle is clocked different.

Yes sir, had to destroy the Maverick handle to remove it and re-drill the shaft as well, but it is done now so on to the next thing.
