Picture of Front/Rear valance guards?

    Hi ... I am contemplating installing front and rear valance guards similar to what early Mustangs had. These are the Chrome guards that install between the lower bumper and attach at the bottom of the valance. However, I cannot find a single picture of a set installed on a Maverick. Anyone have any pictures. Again ... these are not bumper guards the the lower valance guards .... Thx ... And yes ... they were an option ;)

    Me neither :) However, they are shown in the FORD Shop Manual Illustrated Parts list and I have access to an NOS set but don't want to spend the money without seeing how they look. I assume they should look OK in the back since the valance is solid. However, unlike the Mustang, Mavericks have an opening in the lower front valance meaning that the guard would have to cross the open area next to the signal lights ..

    Hmmm...seeing is believing. I would have called somebody a liar if I hadn't seen those photos. Forty-seven and still learning! :confused:

    If anybody is interested ... Green Sales has 10 sets NOS .... $100 a set ... that does not include the rubber strips .... Figure over $150 for shipping with the rubber and bumpers and that is why I wanted to see them installed first :) Also the funky looking bracket on the bottom rear is very similar to the Mustang version which would probably work and available repop.

    OK ... I PHOTOCHOPPED it .... Hmmmmmm ... Kinda looks like Dracula since the front valance is open on top ...

    If you went with them, I don't know about the rubber inserts. I think it would look better all chrome like the Mustang ones you photoshopped in. Also, I think they look a little funky on there. I would vote no. JMO.
