I was wondering...Can I swap out the standard flat top 9:1 forged pistons from my 87 302 roller, to a set of flat top 10:1 pistons and reuse the same E7 heads?

Only if the piston weights are very close so as to not upset the balance. Would be easier to mill or change the heads.

So how reliable are those Hypereutectic pistons, because I do intend to use 150 shot of spray for my engine rebuild?

Whats wrong with the existing pistons????If you are going to put nitrous to it keep the forged ones.

How much of a nos hit you wanna give em?I wouldnt go more than 150 hit with hypers. Some swear by em,some melt em down.I would stick with the forged ones, especially if you plan to pull the pin on a regular bases.

You'd be better off keeping the stock forged pistons with nitrous. Plus you don't want to increase the compression if you're gonna spray, can lead to detonation. Guys get away with spraying hypers but even the manufacturers don't recommend it. The sudden spike in cylinder pressure from spray can shatter a hyper piston. I personally don't like hypers in any application, even NA.

What makes you think you can find flat topped 10 to 1 pistons to replace the stock pistons? :16suspect You haven't done your homework on this I see. ;)
