I have a little problem with a tire, the last week, one tire explode in the car with no reason apparently, then when I was with the distribuitor, he say me than the problem was because something perforate the tire on the road, that could be, but I check all tires and just one of them have a little problem, something like a little scratch, now I dont know if this could be a problem when drive a high speeds, that is my question, what do you think about this tire, support high speed ( > 100 mph), the tire with the scratch??? or replace too?? I hope somebody could say me to be sure, thank! these are the two images of the tires, de first one is the tire that explode, the second has the scratch.
these tires are Continental SportContact2, the size is 205/50 R17 in a Ford Mondeo. For this reason I love my mav it never gives problems like this  !!!

Unfortnately, the pictures can not be viewed at this time (site rule until Sep 1st).

I would take it easy on the tire until you can replace it.

    'Just my opinion.

    Be safe!

mavzac, i don't think you'll have a problem for normal driving, but if my life was on the line at over 100mph i wouldn't take any chances. i would just replace it and use the old for a spare. if you have any doubts be safe. and i hope your not driving over 100 mph on the streets.:slap:

Not, Usually, I drive at normal speed for city, but followed I get out to highway, and in sections I drive over 90 mph, but regularly I not drive at this speed.
Thank you for your suggestions. But If you have this kind of tires, I not recommend so much for cities with bad pavement, these are soft :)

Somebody could say me something about SUMITOMO tires??? Model: HTR Z II
