Does anyone have pictures of a power brake pedal assembly and a manual brake pedal assembly? I have been trying to get a good look at a power brake pedal to see what the differences are. I already have a booster/bracket and master cylinder but have not been able to find a good picture of the power brake pedal so I can see the differences. I have read Craig's article in the tech section and looked at the article on the other site. Still can't see the differences.

    Thanks in advance.

I would think the only difference would be the pedal ratio. The manual pedal's brake rod pin will be higher up the pedal (closer to the upper pivot) resulting in ~ 6.5:1 ratio as opposed to the power pedal 's ~ 5.0:1 ratio. The width of the pedal's "foot surface" is most likely dependent on whether the car has an automatic or manual trans...

I recently saw a disc brake car in the junkyard. The pedal looked like it came from a car from down under.

That disc brake pedal arm was curved around the left side of the steering column.

I seem to recall that the pivot point is at a different angle as well to make up for the brake pedal rod coming thru the firewall at an angle.

I heard you won't find a factory manual trans car with power brakes
