    Hey guys,
I am seriously considering a power to manual steering swap. Has anyone tried relocating the alternator to the opposite side of the engine in place of the P/S pump? This would let me use the existing rear belt groove.
And remember, "there are no dumb questions ..........".

I did the power to manual swap, and left the alternator. Single belt runs alternator and water pump. I needed to buy a different pulley for the water pump to line it all up.

I was thinking of eventually moving the alternator over to the driver side, but just so I could mount an A/C compressor down low on the same side as the A/C/heater core.

I didn't try that when I converted mine. I just used a non-ps water pump pulley.
