My car currently has an inline 6 cylinder. I was wondering what size engine could I upgrade to without having to make a lot of modifications under the hood, the car is 73' Ford Maverick, also would anyone know where to find a hood with a scoop, basically right now for looks? Thanks...:jack:

302 based engine is the easiest swap...mavs/comets came from the factory with 302s but a 260/289 will fit just as good. 351w is a bad swap, well not bad but a PITA.

hood scoop can be gotten from Autokrafters along with a few other places.

Anything different from what you already have will require modifications. If you get all of the parts from a donor car, you can fairly easily swap in a 302 as mentioned above. I highly recommend it...
