Question on my 73 comet switching trans

    I have a 73 Comet with 302 motor and 3 speed manual trans, want to switch to a c4 trans, what all would needed.to do this

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    You are going to need:

    1. C-4 Transmission
    2. Transmission kick down rod (and possibly the linkage at the carb to hook it up.)
    3. Radiator (Yours might now have provisions for transmission cooling)
    4. Transmission cooling lines to radiator
    5. You will have to "T" into the vacuum on your engine manifold to run a vacuum line to the transmission
    6. Some time of shifter and associated parts in order to shift the transmission
    7. Possibly a different speedometer cable, and I think for certain, a different speedometer gear on the end that goes into the transmission
    8. Engine flexplate instead of a flywheel
    9. Neutral safety switch and associated wiring


    Just a quick list off the top of my head.
