    just some dumb grrl, don't know much about cars, but i do know 2 things:

    1. i really like my maverick

    2. i don't know if i can afford to drive it / keep it up

    Lola; sounds like the car is ok, and just needs some tlc. Bear with it, and keep it on the road. Once you get it right, it will give you lots of good service. Good luck!

    Eveything on your other post is fixable with a little time and a little money. If money is an issue, remember that insurance on a new car will more than likely cost more. And repairs on newer cars cost more. Go to your local library and find a book on auto repair. Chiltons books are easy to understand even for the novice.
