should you switch brakes

    some one told me i should drop the drum brakes, and convert it to disk,
    what do you guys think?

    i got a 73 merc comet with 302 V8

    Its got my vote. Probably one of the best upgrades you can make.

    the hardest thing i had to drive ever was a falcon with manual steering/brakes
    and all DRUM

    if you have the $$$ go disk on all 4

    Definately do it! I'll be doing it to mine one of these days when I have the time..

    Drums and manual steering aren't that bad. Then again I guess you get used to them after a while. Should have seen me about throw my brother through the windshield of my mom's 02 Taurus the other day. I hadn't drove anything with power discs in a while... :biglaugh:

    Im with him on :lolup: that. the kits they sell for front disk are about 500 for everything you need to do after market style conversion, i found all my parts in a junkyard and even had the disks turned and bought a new master cylinder for less than 200. (gotta love half price days at PNP!):49:. It all was off a 74, factory instead of improvised.:cool:

    I put manual disc brakes on my 73 Comet (302). I bought a 74 Comet 4dr (302) for $200 & swapped them out. Then sold the Comet 4dr for $200 & a 73 Comet GT (302). Deals are out there. Keep your eyes open. They show up (disc) on Ebay once in awhile. Best upgrade I ever made to the car.
