Speedometer Cable Location

    Anyone know where the speedodometer cable is located on a 1976 Maverick? I think I just need to tighten it to get it working again.

    one end is in the trans. and the other snaps into the back of the instrument panal....frank...

    I put my hand back there behind the console but am unable to locate the correct cable. I think when I had some front speakers put it they guy must have moved that cable.

    I will have my mechanic look at it Monday when he comes to replace the fan belts.

    rap the cable comes thru the floor right behind the gas pedal next to the column....... you can follow it thru there

    good point g75, i forgot about the middle. i guess that would be a good place to start if you are going to tighten it up and don't know where it is...frank...:bananaman :bananaman
