Saw these headers on a Comet Cyclone that was up on a hoist at a local car wash. I'd never seen someone split the header and route it like this. What's really strange is that he had the power cylinder drop bracket also installed.
Looks like a good, workable fab job. That stupid cylinder gets in the way of automatic cars with headers. I gave up when I was younger with my old Comet, back in the 80s. Returned the headers and had them rig up a manifold set up. It sucked too, but sort of got the job done. What year Cyclone was it?
Looks like a 390... This is a fairly common routing for headers. The FE swap headers for a Maverick run like that on both sides of the car. 351c swap headers for Mav run one tube from each side under the oil pan, as do some of the 302 Boss headers. This is due to the very large size of the tubes.
