I am making a Street/Strip car out of my yellow 73 Grabber. :chirp: Just wanted to tell the progress & what my goal is. I had an 8" chunk that I bought a year ago that had 4.62 posi that I decided would be much too low geared for what I want. A couple weeks ago I changed the Ring & pinion to 3.80. After looking at my axels with 100,000 miles I decided I better replace. Had to have Moser custom make them. Yesterday I installed the 8" chunk & the new axels. Then I pulled the engine & tranny out & put the engine on the stand. Today I hope to do a front disc conversion & start tearing engine down.
My goal for the engine is about 450 hp. I am planning to use a Pro Charger. I don't want to be too long winded here but I will keep you updated.:yup:

Yesterday was productive as well. Got both front discs installed & the motor stripped to the short block.

    UPDATE:

After tearing my motor down I decided that my rotating assembly was not going to be strong enough for what I wanted to do. I ordered a 331 Stroker short block from "Ford Performance Solutions". I got the "Super Comp". It arrived yesterday.:yahoo: I now have almost everything to put the motor together except the Carb & Pro Charger. I will probably start the assembly next weekend as my head gaskets & head bolts won't be in untill next week. Here are a few pics.

Hope ya got good gaskets, and did ya get bolts or head studs? With that pro-charger i'd recommend head studs.

What kind of compression are you going to be running when you're done? Seems these strokers just ooze compression. On my 393 Cleveland, running the closed chamber heads and even with the dished pistons, I still wind up with 10 to 1.

Compression will be 9 to 1.
