Got back from the hospital Monday, but waited to get the pathology report Thursday before composing this message. First of all, I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for the support, in general, and for the prayers in particular, that were in evidence throughout this trial my family and I have been undergoing. The operation took 6 hours, but the doctor felt that it had been very successful in that the targeted tumour was removed without having to cut into any organs. I have been progressing extremely well, as far as regaining mobility, and pain and discomfort falling away. Yesterday we went back to see the specialist for a follow-up appointment and to get the results of the pathology report back on that tumour (it was a 3 pounder!!!), and just as we had been warned all along, it was malignant. The good news is that it was lymphoma, which is extremely responsive to treatment. They think that it is conceivable that they got it all out, but just to be on the safe side they are going to hit me with some chemo, and possibly radiation treatment. After that I will be 100% cancer free. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Obviously our hearts' desires are that it never rise up again. Now will somebody pass me a wrench? I've got a car to finish building!! Thanks again one and all. John B.
Glad to hear it... It sounds like things went as well as they possibly could. I wish you well. Leave that wrench in the toolbox until you are fully recovered. Good luck with the recovery. Seth
John; glad to hear things are getting better. Just take care, and know that we are here. God bless, Earl
wow! glad to hear things are better! put down the wrench and go to the planning stage. it is almost as fun as working on the car...just less painful!
Fantastic John, As one who myself is going though a similiar circumstance, although with less dramatic results, may I pass along my congratulations! Having cancer or other illness in a family is never expected. When it comes though, I admire how you have endured it. Glioblastoma multiforme Pegasus
John, Happy to hear all went well!! Get better soon, and hope to see you at the round-up this year. Tony L
Great news! My wife had to go thru some of that treatment,it was a little rough but that was 3 years ago,she is fine now, hang in there, the sun will come up again.Praying for a complete recovery.
Getting well John, Keep up the good work and positive thinking urged on by our prayers. Don't stop fighting now. Check your lifestyle. Eat well, exercise more, if you are smoking -- stop, and get your mind on that Maverick. The future looks good for you. Best wishes,
