    Hey guys
I wanted to toss out a thanks to this site and all of you. I joined a couple years ago when I bought my 76 Maverick to drive while I was doing a frame off on my Impala. And because I thought the Mav looked cool. Well I was doing a lot on the Impala and the Mav went to storage. Now that my Impala is in PAINTER JAIL I decided to break out the Mav. I have got a ton of info from all your post. The car is a 302 with disk brakes and this week the intake and carb went to a Edelbrock and Holley intake and carb as well as all the smog and pollution stuff found it's way into a box in the shed. All your post helped with questions like what to do with the kick down and what can get pulled. Finishing it up tomorrow. I really liked what 510madmav did to the stance on his car by removing 2 coils from the springs. May need to try that next.

    Thanks again
    Ron

I really like your impala. my dad has the same year. 67 2-door hardtop. My uncle has a 67 biscayne 2-door post, and almost bought a 67 Bel air. The 67s are the nicest year of the 60s impalas in my opinion. and second overall impala after the 59. alas, dad's is the lowly 283 with powerglide automatic and bench seat. Hopefully some day we can restore it to look half as nice as yours.

It's a 427SS super hooded super sport. One of only 2000 made. It's at the painter right now every nut and bolt has been touched by me. I have a body rotisserie it was completely media blasted and too much to even say has been done. I can't wait till it's done. Gotta love a big block..

Well, right now we just gotta move it so the cops or whatevers in charge of tryin to tell us what we can/can't put in our yards can't take it. It's pretty sad shape, but it'll start up still. We gotta replace the floors, quarter panels, interior, tune-up the motor, and get a new exhaust on it. then it needs paint. Anyways, the mechanical stuff should be ok, maybe a few fixes there, but it's mostly body/interior work. did you have to get floorpans for yours? all the ones we can find seem a bit more expensive than other cars, don't know why. guess it's one of those one year only things.

I had to do front floor pans. I bought full length and cut what I needed. As it turns out I have good size rear floor pans left over. Larger than someone can buy from the parts guys. And yes there are many things that are specific to that car and either there is limited remanufacturing or not at all.
