I told you guys about the power train now is time to tell you about the histroy of the maverick. It started out as a regular old 69 1/2 maverick. Then obout 14 years ago a guy bot it to make a crazy drag car sleeper if that makes any sence. The body had a small piece of rush on the bottom of the right quarter. It also had 69,000 original miles. He started buy stripeing it done and start from nothing. He notched the shock towers to fit a 351 them he got the grabber packadge of a 71, he then had all the pieces painted and detailed everything. He had to sell the car about 5 years ago for unknown reasons , he sold it to two guys that bot it for the motor, and had know real intension of doing the car. From what i have been told it sat in a chichen barn for about 4 years. Then a friend of mine bot it me started putting it together but was overwellmed buy the task a hand. So he put it up for sale. I ended up buying it not realy knowing what i was getting into. The car was in a million pieces and i did know were to start. Over the last 7 months i with alot of help from friends of mine put it together, i can't believe how good it turned out. The paint is the 14 year old paint job ,I was shocked that the paint job held up so good.It is the original Thanks Vermillion color with the bumpers head light bezels and all other trim blacked out or painted orange. It has pinto tail light that look very good and it also has the grabber packadge. The only thing it is missing is the front sway bar. It has been the funnest and the hardest:mad: project i have ever taken on .I have never had a vehical that turns as many heads and gets as many thumbs up.I have to sell this one but i have my eyes one another one. :drive:
