Hey guys, was gonna try and go out on the Comet's maiden voyage, but the dame alt light is coming on. I checked the search button:bananaman, and decided to go with a GM alternator, and just do away with the voltage reg. I think somethings goin on with the wiring. I still have to install this oil pressure switch too. Other than that, she runs great. Needs a donut gasket too, and my duals put on:bouncy:. ...thanx for listening.

my alt. is a 95 amp/3 wire alt from a 1998-2002 F450-F900 truck, and it works fine. It has the proper case style, and it fits right on our brackets.

Could be the electronic voltage regulator. Try revving the engine to about 3-4000 and see if it will kick in. I went through 3 regulators before I found one to kick in around 1000 rpm.
